Urban Zen Integrative Therapy
Urban Zen Integrative Therapy (UZIT) is an integrated mind-body approach to holistic care combining yoga therapy - simple in-chair or supine movements to help relax and also energize the body, restorative postures to support recuperation, breath awareness and guided body-scan meditation to facilitate mindfulness - therapeutic grade essential oils, Reiki, and contemplative care. UZIT sessions help circulation, respiration, digestion, mobilization, and cultivate awareness and calm. The treatment specifically addresses symptoms including pain, anxiety, nausea, insomnia, constipation, exhaustion, and sadness (PANIC)™. Treatment is tailored to specific needs and serves those experiencing a variety of conditions including injury, cancer, PTSD, ADHD, migraines etc. UZIT is also an effective way to alleviate stress, receive a little extra TLC, and maintain good health.
Reiki is a healing therapy that promotes vitality and harmony - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Reiki creates a profound sense of wellbeing by gently encouraging the body’s own innate capacity to release tension, experience relaxation, feel centered and find optimal alignment. Non-invasive and suitable for everyone, Reiki is practiced by placing hands gently on the body or proximal to it. Reiki can reduce pain and anxiety, aid sleep, and supports balance throughout the body and mind.
First Degree and Second Degree Reiki Training
For those who wish to learn how to practice Reiki for themselves and others, these trainings offer attunement, instruction on practice, and guidance on how to work with this subtle and profound Universal Life Force healing energy.
Keely’s spirited instruction is infused with her innate sense of movement and curiosity, creating a seamless flow of energy that increases flexibility, builds strength and stamina, cultivates awareness, attention and compassion. Her immersion in Vinyasa and Iyengar yoga, and Zen Buddhism unites her strong emphasis on alignment with her love of mudra, mantra and mindfulness practices to travel barefoot with her students along the path of liberation. Classes are easily adapted for individual needs, basics to advanced, as well as pre-natal, restorative and therapeutic yoga.

Meditation promotes a sense of clarity, calm and presence that permeates and illuminates our experience. Instruction in formal meditation includes establishing a regular practice, how to sit, what to focus on, as well as understanding the benefits and obstacles to practice. Informal meditation through mindfulness trains your mind to focus on what you are doing in the present moment to attune focus and attention, and improve the quality of life. Keely’s teaching is informed by her study in the Soto Zen Buddhist tradition of the White Plum lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi with her teacher Roshi Pat Enkyo O’Hara, and her extensive background in yoga.
Hospice care is offered to people in the final phase of life to support them, as well as their families, with the challenges that they face physically, mentally and spiritually. Contemplative practices including bearing witness, deep listening, therapeutic touch, and Reiki, provides comfort, dignity and peace at the end of life’s journey.
